State the amount and how it was paid, along with any deposit already taken. Where a trade is involved, describe what moved in each direction.

Terms of the Sale

Record what you agreed: an as-is sale, an inspection window, a pickup deadline, a delivery arrangement, or the gear and accessories included.

Buyers who only check the engine miss most of what can go wrong. On a recreational vehicle, the living space is where the expensive surprises hide.

Go through this before money moves:

• Roof and seals, along with any sign of water intrusion or soft flooring

• Whether a lender still holds a lien, and how the payoff is handled at closing

Sign once the VIN and the odometer reading are right, since those two details cause the most trouble at a titling counter. Both parties should print their names, sign, and date the same copy.

Then finish the handover:

1. Give the buyer and the seller each a signed copy, on paper or as a PDF.
2. Hand over the title, keys, manuals, and service records.
3. File what your titling office needs to move the unit into the new owner’s name.
4. Move insurance so coverage follows the correct owner from the sale date.
5. Store your copy with the photos and the maintenance file.
