Some limits apply regardless of the wording, and productions should understand them.

It cannot prevent reporting misconduct. Confidentiality on a production does not extend to harassment, discrimination, unsafe conditions, or unlawful behaviour, and nothing in an agreement should be drafted or presented as discouraging someone from raising those. Report routes should be explained alongside the NDA rather than buried.

It cannot bind people who never signed. Members of the public who see filming in a public place are not covered, which is why location control matters more than paperwork.

It cannot restore information already public. Once a detail is properly out, the agreement does not put it back.
